Business-focused iPhone augmented reality app WorkSnug has added Barcelona to its list of supported cities, just in time for Mobile World Congress.
The free app lets people find nearby Wi-Fi hotspots and potential work-spaces, with the data being displayed on-screen over a live camera feed. It also rates them for quality of Wi-Fi, noise levels, power provision and coffee quality.
WorkSnug says it's already found "several hundred" hotspots, including many around the Fira conference venue. The app started off in London last November, but has plans to extend to other cities around the world.
"As well as Barcelona, we are rolling out in Berlin, Paris, Madrid, New York, San Francisco and more very soon," says founder Richard Leyland.
WorkSnug has teamed with headset maker Plantronics to encourage people to submit their own reviews of workspaces in its current cities, offering Plantronics Bluetooth models as prizes for the best 100 reviews.
