Unleashes new downloadable tool for managing comms with friends.
The ON service has been developed by Orange's R&D lab Orange Vallée, and gives users a menu for reorganising their contact info into groups. They can then message, call, Tweet and IM these groups and individuals more intuitively with one-click access.
It also stores social networks updates and the entire history of any conversations the user has had with them. All data is backed up.
You can even specify their location and status - and tailor the degree of detail.
Thus, you could tell your mistress which hotel you're in, while your wife doesn't even know which city you're in.
The application will initially be available in a French and English beta version for Android. It will be available for the iPhone in mid-2010, and for BlackBerry phones, Windows Phones and Symbian (Nokia) devices later in the year.
