Takes Foundation's total lineup to 50 phones.
The LiMo Foundation has hailed the launch of seven new LiMo handsets from NEC, Panasonic and ELSE, saying it means there are now 50 announced LiMo phones.
"The continued growth of LiMo devices is further endorsement of LiMo’s vision, mission, and technologies," says the foundation's executive director Morgan Gillis.
The pick of the Linux-based bunch is probably NEC's N-02B handset for NTT DoCoMo's 'PRIME' series, which sports a 12.2-megapixel camera.
However, it's also unveiled the N-01B STYLE handset for DoCoMo, designed in partnership with design agency STNY, and the N-03B waterproof STYLE phone.
Meanwhile, Panasonic has taken the wrappers off multimedia handset the P-01B, which is part of DoCoMo's PRIME series too, as well as the STYLE P-01B slider handset, and the P-03B SMART phone, which claims a whopping battery life as its main selling point.
