Mums in a hurry to get mobile help

Mums in a hurry to get mobile help

Hearst Magazines has hired Crisp Wireless to launch three mobile sites targeted at 35+ females based around the magazines Good Housekeeping, House Beautiful and Redbook.

The sites, available in the US, will provide time-saving interactive content and apps such as calculators, quizzes, downloadable wallpapers, user-generated contributions and search facilities.  Hearst is launching on and off-deck sites and has agreements in place with most AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon.

Two unique Redbook features are “Time for You Tips,” and “Mommy Strategies,” the latter including advice on how to stop a tantrum, teach good manners, and more. Good luck with that. Meanwhile Good Housekeeping mobile has a searchable list of every product that carries the Good Housekeeping seal, an exercise calculator and expert advice on everything from tipping to travel.

Stacy Morrison, Redbook’s editor-in-chief, said: “With our new mobile sites, a woman will be able to use the phone to make her life easier – whether that means finding last-minute recipes at the supermarket, getting ideas for fun, flirty things to do with her guy or quickly looking up the best way to get gum out of her kid’s hair.”
