App development company purchases mobile agency.
App development company Mubaloo has acquired Bristol-based mobile agency AlwaysOnMessage, after the firm was unable to overcome months of financial difficulties.
Despite boasting a client list comprised of David Lloyd, ITN, BBC, Jamie Oliver and Wilkinson Sword, AlwaysOnMessage ran into insurmountable financial issues in recent months. “AlwaysonMessage was a successful app developer with some terrific clients and some really good people,” explained Mark Mason, CEO, Mubaloo. “Unfortunately, like many small developers, they ran into financial difficulties. With Mubaloo's rigorous financial control and management processes we are confident we will be able to support their current clients and start to grow the business again.
“Companies now understand how they can use apps to improve the efficiencies and processes of their businesses. We’re looking at magnificent growth for the business in 2013 and beyond.”
Since Mason founded Mubaloo in 2009, the company has enjoyed 100 per cent year-on-year growth and now employs 45 people in offices in Bristol, London, Berlin and New York. Clients include the Met Office, BP, the NHS and William Hill.
