And says its users are very interested in the device.

App discovery firm Mplayit has announced that its Facebook service now lets people preview iPad apps, as well as iPhone, Android and BlackBerry apps.

The pages for iPad apps offer screenshots, app descriptions and reviews from Mplayit users.

"With all the hype surrounding the launch of the iPad and talk of premium prices being charged for apps, consumers need a trusted source to find the best apps for their new iPads," says CEO Michael Powers.

However, Mplayit is now facing competition from Apple itself, which launched an official Facebook application for the App Store last week.

That hasn't yet been updated to show iPad apps, but it's surely only a matter of time.

However, it seems that Mplayit's users will respond well to the iPad addition. When surveyed by Mplayit last week, more than 87% of iPhone users on the service said they were interested in the iPad.

What's more, 79% of them said they'd be willing to pay more for iPad apps than iPhone apps.
