Improved battery life to support up to ten hours of 'web usage'.
Motorola has revealed its new Xoom tablet available in two versions, the Motorola Xoom 2 and the Motorla Xoom 2 Media Edition.
The unveiling comes in the run-up to the Christmas season, which will see competition from the likes of the iPad 2 and Kindle Fire released this month.
Both devices feature:
* Android Honeycomb 3.2
* 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU
* 1GB RAM
* 16GB storage memory
* 5-megapixel camera on rear
* 1.3-megapixel camera on front to allow video chats
The devices also feature the MotoCast app to allow content to be streamed from computer to tablet.

The first Xoom featured a 2-megapixel front camera so its successors have been downgraded, but Motorola claims graphic performance will be 20 per cent better than the original.
Differences come as the Xoom 2 features a 10.1-inch screen, a weight of 599 grams and battery improvements to allow ten hours of 'web use'.
Its Media Edition sister features a noticeably smaller 8.2-inch screen, six hours of 'web use' battery support and is a lighter option weighing 386 grams.
Both Xooms will be released in mid-November retailing at locations including Carphone Warehouse, Dixons, PC World and more, but no prices have yet been disclosed.
Motorola's announcement comes following the redundancies of 800 employees.
