Motorola and JCB launch 'workproof' device

Defy+ JCB Edition made for construction workers and clumsy people.

Motorola's 'lifeproof' Defy+ device has been modified with JCB's visco-elastic protective casing to become 'workproof'.

The device has been designed for those that work in taxing environments such as contruction and engineering or alternatively adventurers.

In addition to the tough exterior, the device caters further to its market with technical and measuring JCB apps including a spirit level, decibel meter, torch, DIY store finder and more.

The device also features a Push To Talk feature, which transforms the phone into a walkie-talkie that can enable a group of colleagues in different locations to communicate together via the phone's network as a group call.

Victoria McManus, UK marketing director, Motorola Mobility, said: "We’re thrilled to be working with JCB on this bespoke Motorola DEFY+ device. The unique protective sleeve will pull on JCB’s years of expertise in the construction industry to help us reach a new audience who we know are in need of a life and work proof handset."
