Not bad, considering eyeSight's app is only available for one handset.

Developer eyeSight Mobile Technologies says its Moove music app has been downloaded more than 500,000 times on Nokia's Ovi Store.

It's an impressive milestone, since Moove is only available for one handset: the 5800 XpressMusic. The app launched four months ago.

The app uses eyeSight's 'hand gesture interface', allowing users to play, pause and skip music tracks by waving their hands over the 5800's front-facing camera.

"We are in talks with mobile phone manufactures to license the Hand Gesture Interface to be integrated into new smartphones," says CEO Itay Katz.

eyeSight's tech started life as a mobile gaming thing, in Java games where users threw shuriken and boomerangs by waving their hands in front of their phone's camera.
