Motally rolls out self-serve analytics solution

Hosted service tracks, processes, and reports all data across mobile sites.

San Francisco Motally has been slowly building its profile in the upcoming mobile analytics space, and counts ex M:Metric founder Seamus McAteer and former Com2Us exec Henry Yeh in its senior team

The self-serve solution works on the basis that customers cut and paste a few lines of code into a common header or footer on a mobile site. Then, when a user requests a page, data is sent to a Motally server, which tracks, processes, and reports it.

This enables customers (operators, brands etc) to track usage, maximize ROI, measure actual mobile advertising effectiveness and ultimately optimise product offerings.

It sounds pretty similar to Bango's Mobile Analytics solution. Both attempt to solve the problem of tracking mobile site usage caused by the inability of most handsets to use cookies or Java script.

Motally is offering a Beta version for free, starter version (1m page views/month) for $49.95 a month, standard version (5m page views/month) for $199.95
a month, and a premium version (25m page views/month) for $999.95 a month.
