Users will be required to have a WIndows Live ID account
Tweakers.net has stumbled upon documents that give away more details on the functionality of Microsoft's upcoming Windows Phone 7 OS.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, anyone who wants to use a WinPho 7 handset will need to have a Windows Live ID account, which will also be required to access the Windows Marketplace app store.
This reflects the situation elsewhere, with Apple requiring an iTunes account for iPhone and Android-powered devices requiring Gmail for app store access.
The documents also confirm that WinPho 7 will only run on devices based around ARM7 processors, such as Qualcomm's Snapdragon and TI's OMAP.
This rules Intel and its Atom processors out of the equation, though it's already forging ahead with MeeGo and Android support.
