The US accounted for 15 per cent of all the new merchant sign-ups, which may have been helped by the re-location of the firm's HQ from Germany to Palo Alto.
Mopay also added 20 countries to its coverage list taking the number of covered countries to 80.
Other firsts included the launch of Mopay call, a pay-by-call platform pitched at social networking and gaming providers, and the Mopay 2go PIN controlled m-payments system for app makers.
In 2011, Mopay expects double digit global growth and five times growth in the US.
It will also open new offices and launch new services.
