Monty Munford leaves Player X

It's onto pastures new for the for the Goa-based biz dev man, pr guru and occasional journalist

Specifically, Munford will now be devoting his time to connecting UK and Indian mobile content providers, with a bit of Bollywood film acting squeezed in for good measure.

That new life begins immediately, including a project mobilising some very well-known movie IP, and a speaking part as a British army officer in an upcoming Indian movie about the Chittagong uprising.

We've heard the audition reading, and it's pretty good. Oscars beckon, we reckon.

Munford was at Player X for more than four years, and worked closely with founders Tony Pearce and Ari Honka to help build a business that was eventually sold to Zed earlier this year.

Munford said: "I'd like to thank Tony Pearce and Ari Honka for giving me a job at Player X when others were unsure of employing a maverick and I'd also like to thank innumerable people over their years for their help when I was new to the business. You know who you are. As for the occasional twat, you too know who you are. Fortunately there weren't many of them."
