MoMinis secures $4.5m funding

Mobile gaming firm raises investment on the back of 15m PlayScape downloads.

PlayScape is an Android-based social gaming platform that offers users connected gameplay and in-app currency they can use across over 50 titles. It hit the 15 million downloads milestone in three months, following a December launch.

Now, MoMinis has bagged a $4.5 million Series B round from BRM Group and Mitsui Ventures to further develop its platform.

Itzik Frid, CEO, MoMinis, said: "We’re thrilled by the vote of confidence and continued support from BRM Group and Mitsui Ventures.

"We are happy to see that beyond its success in increasing user retention, distribution and discoverability, it’s embraced by millions of users as an entertaining mobile experience."

MoMinis' funding round coincides with ME's cross-platform month, a space that the former specialises in with work across Android, BlackBerry and Symbian.
