MoMac to power Lebara Mobile portal

Ethnically oriented MVNO will make versions in six languages.

Lebara Mobile has forged a niche based on cheap overseas calls to immigrants and migrant workers.

Its new portal will be in English, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Polish and Filipino, and will provide subscribers with news updates and links to other domains such as Facebook and Hotmail.

There's a free three-month promotion period ends in June, after which access to the portal will cost 50p a day.

MoMac is powering the service using its GoPortal platform.

Sham Careem, MD of MoMac UK, said: “For the first time ever, a UK mobile user can read an operator portal in one of six languages and can choose content customised to a particular geographic region. This is great example of how our GoPortal solution can be tailored to deliver a rich and varied user experience.”
