Mobile publisher MoMac has taken the London Science Museum and made it pocket-sized.

The partners have teamed up to build and power a new mobile internet website for the museum, providing visitors with information attractions, opening times and contact details. It also features a range of games, video downloads and plus bite sized facts from museum’s charmingly titled book ‘Why is Snot Green?’

Visitors can also use the portal to read comments and reviews left by other visitors, or post their own. The portal can be accessed by texting SM to 80876.

Sham Careem, MD of MoMac UK, said: “The introduction of flat rate mobile data tariffs and widespread penetration of internet enabled handsets has meant that more people than ever before are using their mobiles to connect to the internet.

“Therefore, brands and organisations such as the Science Museum are looking to mobile as an increasingly important channel for communicating with their customers.”
