Modu T will come with touchscreen, pre-loaded content and widgets.
The new device, which will ship in Q4, is a step up from the first gen of Modu handsets.
Visitors to MWC 2009 will recall the fuss made about the concept – a tiny phone (the world's smallest) that can be used on its own or be slipped inside various 'jackets' with different themes such as night-time and sports.
The first-gen 2.5G phones come with call log, contacts, messaging and music player.
However, the Modu T should permit more functionality thanks to a touch-based interface. Modu wouldn't give any more details at the UK launch yesterday.
Neither would it be drawn on the OS. The first device ran a proprietary platform, but the way Modu dodged the question suggests Modu T may run something more recognisable.

The firm was in the UK to announce the launch of its devices and peripherals with online retailer Purelygadgets.
It follows previous launches with Globe in the Philippines, Cellcom in Israel, Claro in Brazil, Vodafone Romania, Connexel in Nigeria and Redhare in Australia. There has also been a partial launch with Airtel in India.
Purelygadgets is offering the phone SIM-free for £129.
The fact that Modu is launching in the UK with an online retailer rather than an operator probably reflects the limited appeal of the concept.
With the mass market moving towards large touchscreen smartphones, Modu is looking like a niche at best.
That said, the people behind the firm have good form. Modu was founded in 2007 by Dov Moran, the inventor of the USB Flash Drive.
He sold his company M-Systems to Sandisk for $1.6bn. Modu raised $85 million in 2009.
