Claims to be the first full-service mobile entertainment agency.
Mobile content firm Moderati has rebranded itself as Skyrockit, with a focus on all aspects of mobile entertainment for its brand and entertainment industry clients.
Although the company started off making polyphonic ringtones in 2001, it's now got a strong focus on apps, having generated nearly 10 million downloads of the Virtual Zippo Lighter iPhone app, while also releasing a Vitaminwater-branded remix app for 50 Cent.
"What we see from working with our entertainment clients and our brand or agency clients is that media companies are becoming brand managers, and brands are becoming media producers," CEO Jon Vlassopulos tells ME.
"We sit in the middle of all that. It's about creating these entertainment experiences that will be monetised, and branded experiences that although they can be monetised, are also about engagement."
Skyrockit remains a subsidiary of Japanese agency Bellrock Media. For more on the rebrand and its plans, see our full interview.
