Mobstar Media to forge deeper relationships with broadcasters and the advertising community.
The Brighton-based mobile content producer has already worked on high-profile projects with ITV, Turner Endemol and Rimmel. Now it's exploring ad-funding as a model when a client broadcaster may not necessarily have a budget for mobile production.
Speaking to ME, Mobstar MD Jamie Goldblatt said the company is hoping to become a trusted creative partner for broadcasters.
He said: “As long as mobile remains an afterthought in TV production it will struggle creatively. We need the phone to be the glue that holds cross-platform content together – clever brands and broadcasters are realising that.”
Mobstar is currently putting the finishing touches to Cell, a made-for-mobile drama it’s producing for Endemol and O2. It’s also working with ITV on content for I’m A Celebrity and other shows and recently executed a Kate Moss mobile campaign for Rimmel and agency JWT.
