Mobile Streams has 1m subs in Argentina

Milestone reached on the content giant's LatAm heartland.

UK-based, publicly owned Mobile Streams is one of the world's oldest content outfits. It has a strong B2B business and is also growing its Appitalism open app store pretty fast.

But it still operates a strong D2C business, especially in emerging markets.

Among these, LatAm is particularly prosperous. Today, the company confirmed one million active mobile subscribers in Argentina. It defines active subscribers as customers who have paid to use one of the company's mobile internet services in the last two months.

Pedro Rosillo, president of Latin America at Mobile Streams, said: “Our strategy of combining local knowledge and existing operator relationships in Argentina has paid off as our services continue to attract large numbers of new subscribers.  We are excited to see how this growth will continue in 2012 in Argentina as well as other markets in the Latin America region.”

Mobile Streams offers games, apps, news, sports and music services throughout Argentina via EWAP sites, appitalism.com or the dedicated short code “2323”.
