Mobile Streams extends Musiwave partnership

Five more countries added to mobile music distribution footprint.

Mobile Streams has extended its partnership with Microsoft-owned mobile music specialist Musiwave to offer services in Italy, Spain, France, Australia and New Zealand.

It means operators in those territories that use Musiwave’s platform will be able to offer content from the Mobile Streams catalogue, including true tones, ringback tones, fun tones, film soundtracks and sound effects.

Subscribers will also be able to access a range of wallpapers from the catalogue based on a variety of themes such as sport, cartoon, art & design and celebrity.

Mobile Streams and Musiwave first teamed up in 2006 to offer music content to mobile uses in the UK.

Mike Conte, president of Musiwave, said: “Our work with Mobile Streams has enabled us to deliver compelling entertainment experiences to mobile users in the UK, and we are excited to see the alliance expand to include millions more mobile customers throughout Europe and Australia/New Zealand."
