Mobile Streams has licensed its content to Playphone in key Euro territories.
The product range, comprising video, audio, wallpaper and screensavers, will be made available to users of Playphone's Splash D2C portals in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain, France and Norway. Titles on offer include video IP such as Mr Bean, Cat Bastard, Pink Panther, Goal Parade and ‘Hidden Camera.As well as licensing content to Playphone, Mobile Streams will also license its proprietary content management platform, Vuesia, as part of this deal. Simon Buckingham, CEO of Mobile Streams said: “Once again our content is reaching new customers and we are pleased to be licensing our content to the team at Playphone and enhancing the mobile experience for more users in Europe”.
The deal maintains a frantic pace of activity for both companies in 2008. Playphone recently concluded deals with Universal and National Geographic while launching in Italy. Meanwhile Mobile Streams has made several announcements about the expansion of its ringtones.com portal.
