DIY apps platform Mobile Roadie is set to offer rewards for customers who cut time-limited exclusive deals with specific app stores.
"We’re about to announce a relationship where you will get perks if you’re exclusively on one platform for several months," said CEO Michael Schneider, speaking in a panel session at the MIPCOM conference in Cannes.
Schneider gave no further details, although he hinted that a big partner is involved in the initiative - presumably one of the app store owners.
However, Schneider also said that app developers and brands would be "crazy" to agree to permanent exclusivity on any individual platform.
During the session, Schneider said that Mobile Roadie's most popular app so far is the one for US country-pop star Taylor Swift, which has 600,000 downloads in the US alone.
