And DIY apps platform also supporting BlackBerry soon.

Mobile Roadie, one of the most successful DIY mobile apps platforms, is working on its 3.0 version, which is due for release soon.

The service lets bands and other celebrities create their own apps for iPhone and Android, updating them regularly while pulling in tweets, blog posts, videos and other content from their existing sites.

"We have a new feature launching in version 3.0 which provides a map of where all your fans are," Mobile Roadie's UK representative Stephen O'Reilly tells Music Week.

"You can see on a Google map where fans are and then follow them on Facebook or Twitter."

Mobile Roadie will add BlackBerry support to its platform within the next two weeks, says O'Reilly, with Nokia following later this year. The company has also set up a new UK office to court British bands for the service.
