A UK based designer, Daizi Zheng, has built a phone for Nokia that could be powered by soft-drinks.
Her bio battery concept generates electricity from carbohydrates/sugar) and has the potential to operate three to four times longer on a single charge than conventional lithium batteries.
Presumably, the diet version doesn't work - and doesn't have that delicious sugary taste of full-fat coke either.
