BlackBerry Partners Fund and NFQ Ventures pile into publishing startup.
Mobile games firm Fuse Powered has announced a $2 million seed funding round, with participation from BlackBerry Venture Partners and NFQ Ventures.
The company says it plans to spend the cash on upping its developer and brand partnerships while launching a series of new games in the coming months, as well as hiring new staff and building its technology platform.
"The Blackberry Partners Fund investment represents an affirmation of Fuse’s global thought leadership as mobile game publishers and the unique nature of our proprietary tools and position in the market," says CEO Jon Walsh. "The investment will accelerate our progress and give us an edge in the marketplace."
So what games has Fuse Powered released? Branded titles Dawn of the Dead and Jaws / Jaws HD (pictured), and own-IP titles Babo Crash, Retro Pinball, Swarm Killer App and Zoo Toss, all on iOS.
