Porting expert Mobile Distillery is branching into LBS via a partnership with Mappy.
The two companies plan to jointly develop a specific API to drive the creation of mobile location applications using Mobile Distillery's Celsius v5 platform. It means that developers and publishers using Celsius will be able to combine positioning technologies (such as cell-ID and GPS) with LBS features while ensuring a fast affordable launch across potentially more than 1,000 devices.Celsius simplifies and accelerates the production cycle of mobile applications. Mobile Distillery claims the development phase can be reduced by 30 per cent and the port and backfill process by up to 80 per cent.
