Search and discovery analytics engine Mobilewalla claims the big six-zero figure for total individual mobile apps is just around the corner as today's count reached 989,476.
Mobilewalla tracks it's figures in real-time and the growth is being pushed by an average of 2,000 apps entering the market each day.

Apps like Angry Birds have been a huge game changer for the market with over 500 million downloads and a soft toy collection. There's also talk of taking the franchise to Hollywood in addition to a clothing range and recipe books.
