And Angry Birds was the most popular game for the quarter overall.

Sister title PCR reports the results from the Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE), which claims Rovio's furious feathery physics game secured ten per cent of all gameplay in the UK during Q1.

Mobile apps accounted for 43 all gameplay during the period, while 21 million – or 37 per cent – of Brits have played games in the past year.

Additionally, 31 per cent of the UK plays mobile, console and online games, with the latter two securing 68 per cent and 65 per cent respectively.
