And iPhone accounts for 50 per cent of all the company's mobile bets
UK bookmaker Paddy Power has revealed that 10 per cent of all its bets are now placed via its various mobile services.
Earlier this month the firm said that the iPhone accounts for 50 per cent of all its mobile betting activity.
Paddy Power revealed the latest stat as its free fixed odds iPhone app broke into the top five Sports app downloads chart on the App Store.
The app was launched in June and allows punters to open a new account, place bets across all Paddy Power markets, deposit cash and withdraw cash.
Paddy Power (the person) said: “We believe that the iPhone will do for betting what the launch of online betting did a decade ago.
“Clearly the phenomenal demand we’ve see for the Paddy Power app suggests our exciting new service is what our customers have been crying out for – and the initial feedback has been positive. We’ll continue to listen them to make this first betting app available from any bookmaker bigger and better as we discover the ways to specifically suit their needs.”
