Mobile access to retail sites soars across 'EU5'

13.5m users in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK in three months to end of May.

comScore's MobiLens service says this represents an 80 per cent increase over the past year. This growth is even stronger in the UK, with a 163 per cent rise.

The data also indicates that consumers are accessing auction sites and shopping guides in similar numbers on their mobile devices.

In the same period, 6.3 per cent of EU5 mobile users clicked to the former and 5.1 per cent accessed the latter.

The UK had the highest penetration for the three mobile retail categories. Approximately one in ten mobile users in the UK (10.5 per cent) reported having accessed auction sites.

All the key stats are in the tables below.
