Mobcast signs up Verlagsgruppe Random House

eBook specialist to distribute German language titles across partners’ app stores.

The move will make the catalogue available for millions of Blackberry App World, Nokia Ovi store and Play-Now Arena users. 

Mobcast, parent company of digital book service GoSpoken.com, was founded by Ex-SAS operative turned best-selling author, Andy McNab. 

GoSpoken.com offers more than 8,000 titles from Verlagsgruppe Random House authors authors including Stieg Larsson, Helmut Schmidt and Ian Rankin and will have a catalogue of 25,000 at the end of 2009 growing to 100,000 in 2010.

Christian Damke, director of business development at Verlagsgruppe Random House, said: “eBooks are an important part of Random House’s strategy in Germany since 2000.

"We have seen very positive results with the Sony eReader, iTunes and other distribution channels and are happy to see people read our bestselling authors on all devices and across all channels, including mobile phones.”
