MMA membership swells

The Mobile Marketing Association added 25 new members to bring its total over 450.

The new member companies come from North America, South America, Asia Pacific and Europe and include major ‘mainstream’ brands such as Anheuser-Busch. Laura Marriott, president of the MMA, said: “The MMA’s continued membership growth further enhances the association’s ability to collaborate with players across the ecosystem and the world to drive the adoption of mobile marketing education and expand industry guidelines and best practices to ensure a positive consumer experience.”

The MMA also noted its recent win of the 2007 Communication Gold Circle Award for the MMA International Journal of Mobile Marketing, highlighting the importance of continued global education for the development of mobile marketing.
