New body chaired by Sponges Alex Meisl and Scott Seaborn of Ogilvy Group.
The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) has set up a UK Council to evangelise the medium, establish local guidelines and set best practice.The Council will be chaired by Sponge’s Alex Meisl and Scott Seaborn of Ogilvy Group UK, with a total of 56 member companies at initiation.
Seven companies - Sponge, Incentivated, Yodel, Netsize, Rapid Mobile, Reporo and We Love Mobile - joined the MMA as a result of the UK Council launch.
MMA European managing director Paul Berney said: "Local initiatives are instrumental to the growth and development of the mobile marketing industry and will help guide education, awareness and consistency across all parts of the ecosystem. We look forward to working with UK members to build the momentum and industry spend in their market."
