Mission in-mobile

Nokia is to give away the blockbuster movie Mission: Impossible 3 on a miniSD card - but only to Vodafone UK subscribers who buy an N93.

The Finnish giant timed the offer to co-incide with the release of Mi:III on DVD. It will be offered as part of the Nokia N93 sales package with no additional cost to consumers.

The  full length film will be supplied on a 512MB card and will run at 25 frames per second, with rewind, fast forward, pause and continue watching functions. There's even stereo audio thanks to the headset included in the standard Nokia N93 package. Furthermore, users can wipe the movie when viewed and use the card however they wish.

It's the first such deal between Nokia and Mi:III distributor Paramount Pictures. But it's not the first movie to ship on a memory card. UK retailer Carphone Warehouse stocked Spiderman, Monty Python's Holy Grail and others in 2005.
