This iPhone app lets you 'check in' when watching TV shows or movies. Sound familiar?
TechCrunch draws attention to a new app from Bazaar Labs that takes Foursquare's real world location 'check in for badges' concept and applies it to the viewing of movies and TV.
In short, the free Miso app enables users to tell their mates what they're watching, and earn points and badges for the achievement in the process.
If the user also has Foursquare, Miso will check the location of the movie/TV show they are watching in there also, so they get double whammy.
Miso check-ins can also be shared via Facebook and Twitter.
Apparently a few big brands are kicking the tyres of Miso, with MGM inking a deal with Bazaar Labs for its Hot Tub Time Machine movie.
