Big changes at the top of the Mobile Marketing Association
The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) has confirmed that its global CEO and President Mike Wehrs will resign effective December 31st, 2009
Wehrs as been in the post for less than a year, having taken over from Laura Marriott in January. Marriott herself resigned in June 2008.
Wehrs will take on the role of Special Advisor to the MMA Global Executive Committee until June 30th 2010 to ensure a smooth transition.
MMA Global Chairman Federico Pisani Massamormile will serve as interim CEO.
The MMA Board says it will immediately commence an executive level search for a new global Executive, managed by a recruiting committee comprised of Board Members.

In a statement, the MMA says Wehrs is credited with revitalising the organisation and introducing a number of important strategic efforts.
