MIG opens mobile publishing division

Launches Kilrush to deliver site building, application development and widgets.

Mobile Interactive Group has been working on this for nearly 18 months, and believes the launch will enable it to offer clients the whole gamut of rich mobile services.

MIG has become one of the industry's fastest growing companies, thanks largely to its work with broadcasters such as ITV, for which it provides interactive mobile services. Historically, this has been dominated by text-based polls, votes and chat.

However, with the growth of the mobile internet, faster connections and bigger screens, broadcasters and brands are seeking a richer mobile channel. ITV and Vodafone have already been confirmed as Kilrush customers.

Barry Houlihan, CEO of MIG, said: “The launch of Kilrush and Mobile Interactive Technology is another step towards our vision of creating the world’s most integrated mobile and digital services business.”

Kilrush will come with mobile advertising and billing capability as standard, making it possible to generate income from the mobile internet from day one.

MIG’s other businesses include 4th Screen Advertising, Jigsaw (digital agency) and New Toy (experiential). The firm has also re-branded its overarching technology division as Mobile Interactive Technology, leaving MIG to become the parent identity.

Core products within MIT include SMS, voice and MMS gateways, billing platform and the MIDAS suite of mobile messaging products and services.

MIG will launch Kilrush at a special Meet-Up event organised by ME magazine. It takes place at 24 London on Wednesday June 10th, from 6pm.
