Software giant using solution pre- and post-deployment with operator partners

Microsoft is using DeviceAnywhere's Test Center to manage the testing associated with its Windows Live for mobile offering.

DeviceAnywhere says its solution enables Microsoft to support browse linking agreements and identify/solve issues that may be specific to an operator’s network or suite of devices.

The process is all done remotely (as opposed to having to keep real devices in a test centre) and encompasses more than 2,000 handsets, available on over 30 carriers and network providers.

Mark Boyce, Mobile Browse Program Manager of the Windows Live Deployment team at Microsoft, said: “DeviceAnywhere’s solution has saved our department a lot of time and headaches by eliminating most of the tedious, manual tasks associated with our in-house mobile testing process. We no longer have to chase down lost devices and SIMs, dig through boxes of chargers, or even track multiple phone bills and expense reports."
