Microsoft has acquired a mobile social networking site WebFives started by one of its former execs.
Seattle based WebFives powers a mobile community that supports video, music and photos. Users are provided with profile pages from which they can blog and upload via WAP or web.Microsoft’s swoop is merely the latest in a ‘goldrush’ towards mobile social networking firms. Just two months ago, for example, Google bought the similar start-up Zingku.
