There's no doubt that demand for mobile content, advertising and 'smart' functions has historically been dominated by young males.
That gap is closing now thanks to the rise of more gender-neutral services such as Facebook and BBM.
However, there's still some inbalance in banner click-throughs, possibly caused by the dominance of male-orientated brands in advertising.
This infographic from mobile ad specialist inneractive puts the average CTR at 2.73 per cent for boys and 1.65 per cent for girls.
