Latin America launch meeting attracts 100 companies.
Mobile Entertainment Forum has launched a chapter in Latin America, attracting more than 100 companies to its inaugural meeting in Sao Paulo last week.
MEF says it wants to spur dialogue between the mobile entertainment industry and regulators in the region, as well as driving its trademark initiatives to promote best practices.
26 companies have joined as founding members in Latin America:
2ergo, Binbit, Blink, Boltcel, Buongiorno, Comfone, cVidya, Dada, Flycell, Fox Mobile Distribution, Getjar, Impact Mobile, KPMG, Masurlaw, NeoMobile, Nokia , Omnifone, PlayPhone , RIM , Silverstreet , Sony Music, Sony Pictures, SPB Software, Telefonica, TIM and Zed.
Playphone CEO Ron Czerny is acting chair of MEF LATAM, while Filipe Roup Rosa will be general manager, operating from Sao Paulo.
