The MEF is to shake up its showcase Mobile Entertainment Market trade show by re-locating it to Monte Carlo from next year.
The event, currently taking place at the Business Design Centre in North London, will hit the Grimaldi Forum on June 5 to 7 in 2007. Patrick Parodi, chairman of the Mobile Entertainment Forum, told ME the move would make the event 'more showbiz' and less UK-centric. He also insists that it's cheaper to stay in Monaco than London these days. The re-location is part of a general shake-up by the MEF, which has seen membership grow to 121 and now believes it's time to take the body to the next level. New MEF Americas chair Ted Cohen said the organisation wants to get the membership more involved in its various lobbying and standardiasation initiatives.
