MEF elects new Global Board

EA Mobile, Omnifone and Telefonica all take up seats for the first time

The Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) has unveiled its new Global Board, with Andrew Bud re-elected as Global Chairman and Pete Wood of Sony Pictures elected as Vice-Chairman.

Luca Pagano (Vice President Publishing, EA Mobile), Rob Lewis (Executive Chairman, Omnifone) and James Parton (Head of Developer Marketing, Telefonica) were voted onto the board for the first time.

Also for the first time two awards were presented at the MEF AGM to recognise individual leadership and commitment to the trade body and the mobile media industry.

The Member of Distinction Award was given to Alex Haffner of Denton Wilde Sapte, while the Director of Distinction Award was presented jointly to MEF North America Chairman Gary Schwartz and MEF EMEA Chairman Gerrit Jan Konijnenberg.
