Medio has launched the Medio MobileNow Ad Network, which serves up relevant ads to consumers using its white-labelled search boxes.
The service determines ad relevance through search behaviour, click-through history, user demographics, geography and in-depth behavioural trending analysis to deliver the most useful ad messages to each user. Ads will be priced and served by auction and advertisers will pay only when consumers click on their messages. It will also integrate a pay-per-call component, through which consumer can click on a banner to make a voice call to the advertiser. This is a result of Medio’s partnership with Ingenio.
The MobileNow Ad Network service is based on the same technologies that drive search for Medio’s current partners like T-Mobile, TELUS Mobility and Amp’d Mobile – technologies that deliver relevant answers rather than lists of links. It will be rolled out first on the search results pages of Amp’d.
Omar Tawakol, chief advertising officer for Medio Systems, said: “By providing consumers a click-saving experience that returns actionable answers matched with highly relevant ad messages, the MobileNow Ad Network can drive a much higher ROI for advertisers.”
