ME's Top 10 takeaways from Nokia World 09

What we learned at last week's industry conference.

Last week, ME was out in force for Nokia World 09, the handset firm's annual conference setting out its vision and strategy, while showing off its latest devices.

There was plenty to chew over, thanks to presentations from senior execs and key partners, not to mention hands-on demos with some of those new Nokia devices.

With that in mind, we've put together our ten key takeaways from the show:

1. Nokia IS on the defensive a little bit
2. It's all about the maps this year
3. The N900 is Nokia's best smartphone yet
4. Ovi Store has made a sluggish start but it's early days
5. Games has fallen down the priorities list
6. Comes With Music is more about emerging markets
7. Actually, so are a lot of other things
8. Partnerships are increasingly important for Nokia
9. The Booklet 3G's success depends on the bundling
10. Nokia wants more control over its presentation

But it's not just a list of bullet points: click here to read the full feature in which we explain what we learned, and what we think about Nokia's current direction.
