Samsung, Fetch, Grapple and Fetch among the first time winners at Mobile Entertainment's industry showcase.
The sixth annual ME Awards took place at the Royal Garden Hotel in London last night, attracting over 300 senior professionals from all over the world.
There was delight for Samsung, which scooped the Best Handset Company award for the first time this year on the back of outstanding success with its Galaxy device range.
Elsewhere, there was recognition for two rising London-based mobile agencies.
Grapple won the Best App Developer award, crowning a great year for a company that has created over 200 apps and even appeared as the face of the app business in TV's The Apprentice.
Meanwhile fast growing Fetch Media went home with the new Best Marketing Company award as reward for outstanding work with clients in 70 markets.

These three firms lined up among 18 winners at the prestigious industry awards, which recognise innovation and success in the mobile content space.
Other winners included GetJar, InMobi, Netbiscuits, Cherry Media, EA Mobile, 24MAS, Papayamobile, Saffron, Bango, Spotify, Facebook, Layar, Betfair and Orange Group.
Tim Green, executive editor of Mobile Entertainment, said: "It's been another amazing year for the mobile content industry, which is moving ever faster into the mainstream of daily life for millions of people.
"This has been achieved thanks to the creativity and dedication of the companies in the room at the ME Awards. It's been a long old slog since the ringtone days, but we're all reaping the benefits now. My congratulations to all the winners."
Guests at the event were drawn from companies such as Google, PayPal, Nokia, RIM, Facebook, O2, Orange, OpenMarket and many more.
The winners were decided by a judging panel, drawn from the ME contacts book and consisting of around 400 execs from all sectors of the business.
