The ME Awards 2009 are officially open, so start sending in your nominations now.
It will be the biggest night in the mobile content industry calendar, with over 400 execs from all over the world arriving at The Royal Garden Hotel in London on Thursday, October 1st 2009 to celebrate industry excellence.
We are delighted to welcome The Nielsen Company, the world’s leading provider of measurement and analytical solutions for online and mobile media, as our Silver Partner.
There will be 18 awards across three categories comprising Development & Publishing, Services, and Operators & Handsets. We’ll also be handing out a Special Award for the outstanding contribution to mobile content.
How can my company enter?
See below for the full list of categories and awards. Then send a short pitch document (<500 words) containing relevant information about your company (showreels are not necessary) and clearly stating the category you wish to enter, to me-awards@intentmedia.co.uk.
There is no fee for submitting an ME Awards entry.

When is the deadline for submissions?
July 10th 2009. Finalist shortlists will be published on July 27th 2009.
What’s the nominations process?
The ME team decides on the shortlists, basing its decisions on nomination pitch documents and consultation with industry insiders.
What’s the judging process?
The winners are decided by an invited judging panel, which is drawn from the ME contacts book and consists of around 400 execs from all sectors of the business. Members of the jury are sent a PDF containing details of the shortlisted companies. They then base their decisions on this document and their own industry experience. Jury members vote in confidence and cannot vote for themselves or associated companies.
How is the ‘outstanding contribution’ award decided?
This is not a vote. It’s decided upon by the ME team. However, we do accept suggestions from readers.
