The man responsible for building mobile content giant Hungama recognised in the Outstanding Contribution category
Neeraj Roy became the fourth winner of the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Mobile Entertainment’ category at the ME Awards last night.
Previous winners include Nokia's Anssi Vanjoki, Bango's Ray Anderson and Mobilium's Ralph Simon.
Neeraj received the 2009 prize for building India’s biggest content content company, Hungama, and for his energy in promoting the industry all over the world.
He is also the chair of the MEF Asia trade body and is heavily involved in the FICCI Frames digital entertainment conference.
Tim Green, executive editor at ME Magazine, said: "I’m so pleased to be able to give this award to Neeraj, one of the hardest working and most respected guys in the business. He has not only built Hungama into India’s biggest mobile content company – which is itself an excellent advertisement for the industry – but he also works tirelessly for the MEF and other organisations to fly the flag for our market. He got a fantastic reception last night, and thoroughly deserved it."
