UK network recognised for its achievements in mobile content over the last 12 months.
O2 UK walked home from the ME Awards last night as winner of the best Operator category.The company has worked particularly hard in the field of mobile music, launching artist-specific microsites in partnership with Sony BMG and music downloads with Napster.
Its work at the O2 venue in London and its support of Apple's iPhone also played a role in the judges thinking.
The award was collected for O2 by its head of content, Anthony Douglas (pictured).
The ME Awards 2008, which rewards creativity, innovation and those who work in the mobile sector, attracted nearly 400 guests from over 120 companies in media, technology and entertainment around the world.
